The ten-month-long preparatory programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is offered to foreign students who plan to pursue their full BA/BSc or undivided or MA/MSc studies in Hungarian institutions of higher education. After the course, admission criteria for university programmes are the following: successful final exam and successful entrance exam at the chosen university. The main aim of the programme is to prepare the most able students for their further education. Therefore, we not only teach Hungarian Language and different subjects in Hungarian, but also improve writing, communication and other skills and competencies related to the students' further education. In the first semester (September-December) students study only Hungarian Language (30 classes a week). Depending on their specialisation, they also have different subjects in Hungarian (e.g.: Biology, Chemistry, Maths, History etc.) during the second semester (January-June).
