The focus of the German-language Master's programme in International Economy and Business is economics, with the goal of providing a comprehensive understanding of European economic integration and economic policy in Europe. Special emphasis is placed on measures to enhance the competitiveness of companies, regions, and countries. The programme is primarily designed for graduates of bachelor's programmes in economics and social sciences, though graduates from other fields can participate by taking additional foundational courses in economics.
Students acquire the necessary technical, methodological, and social skills to recognize both the opportunities and challenges of globalization and to address them constructively. The programme emphasizes content relevant to Europe, particularly the specific characteristics of the Central European region.
In addition to core subjects in economics and business administration, topics from related disciplines are also part of the curriculum. A distinguishing feature of the programme is the option to freely select up to 15 credits from any of the programmes offered at AUB.
