This MA programme is designed to provide students with interpretive skills, academic research tools, and a critical perspective in the fields of English Studies. Students are introduced to basic theoretical fields such as history and theory of literature, theories of language, social use of language, gender studies and the multimediality of culture. Academic research tools in the information society and the digital humanities are also familiarised during their studies and students participate in interactive seminars, research practice and thesis writing consultations.

Application and admission requirements: BA diploma in English Studies, international certificate of advanced command of English (TOEFL Score: min. 110 or, TOEFL ITP Score: min 627, or IELTS Band: min. 8 or, Cambridge Advanced English [CAE]). Applicants register via the online application system. The entrance exam will be conducted in person, at a venue belonging to the Faculty of Arts OR at a venue previously designated by the Faculty of Arts in the applicant’s place of residence OR through a Skype interview. Identification of the applicant happens on the basis of personal documents. The entrance exam consists of an interview of motivation.
