Description of the course / programme
The programme aims to provide modern, technical knowledge that underpins and enables the operation of aircraft. It allows graduates to supplement their existing knowledge with the technical and environmental aspects of aviation, equipping them to take official examinations and to operate specific fixed-wing aircraft types. They will also be able to perform tasks related to air operations, ground handling, and air transport.
Experienced instructors with extensive professional backgrounds deliver the training, offering modern facilities and learning conditions at a cost more favourable than typical Western European commercial pilot training programmes.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree (formerly: college-level education) in one of the following fields: Transport Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Military and Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Informatics, Mechatronics Engineering, Management Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Environmental Engineering, or Agricultural and Food Industry Mechanical Engineering; and
A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate in accordance with Subpart MED of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council, concerning the technical requirements and administrative procedures related to civil aviation. TOEFL 513 / IELTS 5.5 /oral examination, TOEFL IBT test score of 66 or any standardised international English language exam corresponding with Hungarian B2 at the Bachelors level and C1 at Masters level.
If there is no standardised English exam, the University relies on an online interview. Applicants not complying with language requirements must enrol in a preparatory language programme. After having completed the language course and passed the requisite final examination, if there are no professional reservations on the part of the Faculty, admission to the selected Postgraduate programme is automatic.
