20 members of the Hungarian Academy of Science and several Doctors of Science with significant international collaboration take part in the four training programmes in the Theoratical Medicine Doctoral School Neuoroendocrinology, Neuroscience, Gastroenterology and Regulation, measurement and analysis of life processes. Besides their knowledge and experience, the high scientific standards guarantee an outstanding level of PhD theses. The PhD candidates need to have a minimum of two original papers, one of them published as first author in an international scientific journal with an impact factor. The total impact factor required for the publications is 4.0.Language requirements: B2 Certificates of language proficiency in English: at least intermediate level certified by internationally accredited language examination (TEL C B2, ECL B2, TOE FL iBT test score of at least 72, or PBT score at least 550, Cambridge First Certificate at least “B”, IELT S score of at least 5.5) and on individual interview online.

Application requirements: MSc, MD or MPharm degree in related fields*, a demonstrated proficiency in English (B2/intermediate or equivalent international language exam), an individual interview online. Applicants should choose a topic proposal, write a research plan, contact the relevant supervisor of the proposal and agree on the given research theme in writing, before submitting the application. Points are added up from the oral exam outcomes (theoratical questions from the subjects of the subprogrammes, max. 40 pts) the previous scientific work and the points calculated from foreign language skills, type of degree (Msc/MD/MPharm) (max 60 pts).
