This PhD School admits graduate students interested in educational and research programmes concerning both basic and clinical medical sciences related to major areas such as physiology, pathophysiology and pharmacology of the cardiovascular system as well as biochemistry, biophysics and molecular and cell biology. Outstanding representatives of the history of the School are from the field of cardiovascular pharmaco-physiology Professor László Szekeres, from the field of biochemistry and biophysics Professor Albert Szent-Györgyi (Nobel Laureate), and Professor Bruno F. Straub.

Applicants should choose a topic, contact the relevant supervisor of the proposal and agree on the given research theme, before submitting the application. Applicants should write a research plan in concordance with the supervisor. The points will be calculated based on oral exam grades in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry or Pharmacology (max. 100 pts), English language skills (max. 100 pts), general grading of degree MSc/MD/MPharm(max. 100 pts), and the previous scientific work (max 100 pts).
