The Mechanical Engineering MSc program offers one specialization in English: Materials and Production Technologies. This specialization focuses on:
- Designing and developing production processes.
- Conceptualizing and implementing manufacturing technologies, devices, and systems.
- Modeling, operating, maintaining, supervising, and organizing production tasks.
The specialization is designed to meet the needs of partner industrial companies.
The curriculum consists of four semesters, each with 14 weeks of teaching. It provides advanced knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering and equips students with the skills necessary for rapid integration into the labor market.
The Széchenyi István University maintains extensive partnerships with industrial companies that actively contribute to teaching, curriculum development, and panel discussions. Recent contributors in the field of mechanical engineering include AUDI Hungaria Zrt., Rába Futómű Kft., and SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary Bt.
Admission Procedure (via the central admission system, supported by the International Directorate):
1. Review of language and academic qualifications with the assistance of the Language Centre and the head of the program.
2. Evaluation of previous academic results and admission documents.
3. Online interview (including an oral language test if certificates do not clearly demonstrate English proficiency).
4. Verification of formal requirements.

English Language Requirements
- Applicants whose primary language of instruction was English: automatic acceptance.
- TOEFL iBT minimum score of 66, or any standardized international English language exam corresponding to CEFR level B2 for Bachelor’s level and C1 for Master’s level.
- In the absence of a standardized English exam, the University relies on the agent’s assessment as well as a Skype interview.
