The aim of the programme is to acquire a higher-level instrumental repertory in classical music; a deeper knowledge of the characteristics and requirements of the solo, orchestral and chamber music. The programme focuses on the awareness of the appropriate performance style for different genres and periods, the study of specific theoretical and historical material, the acquisition of methods for understanding complex music, the use of analytical tools, and a specific and comprehensive knowledge of the disciplines (theoretical and historical) related to the performing arts. The graduates will be prepared to do research in their given specialization, and to take part in further studies at the doctoral level.

1. An authorized copy of a BA degree from any higher education institution already completed.2. personal interview and cello audition (or authentic video recording of the cello performance).Instrumental audition requirements (for both the in-person and online entrance examinations) in Classical Cello specialization:
1) One prelude from J. S. Bach's solo suites in E-flat major, C minor, or D major,
or
Two dance movements from the same suites;
2) Two movements from a freely chosen sonata;
3) A virtuoso piece;
4) A fast-slow movement pair from a freely chosen cello concerto.
In case the applicant has difficulty attending the live audition, a video recording may also be accepted, which must match the following criteria:
• - With the exception of the sonata, all pieces must be performed from memory.
• - The video must show the whole body of the performer(s).
• - Piano accompaniment is required.
• - The pieces may be recorded separately; however, no editing is allowed within a movement or between movements.
• - The recordings should be uploaded either as a single video file or one video per piece, as unlisted YouTube links or cloud links, where the jury can view the videos directly in the browser without needing to download them.
The deadline for submission of video is May 20th.

Admission to the program is organized through the annual admission process. The programmes on offer are announced by the programme management. The University laws and regulations outline the requirements for admission.University students writing their final exam after the application deadline must enclose a copy of their transcripts with the application form. The admission of these students is conditional.Admission process includes two processes:- language tests (written)- professional admission test (written)The secretary of the programme will notify the candidates about the exact date and time of the admission tests.The admission test includes two separate parts: one to check language competence, and another one to check the professional background of the applicant. Only those applicants whose admission test is borderline will be requested to take part in an interview. The admission interviews are free-flowing conversations, a forum where the applicants can defend and clarify their views and convince committee members about the validity of their application.In its evaluation, the committee considers the following categories: prior education/experience, language competence, BSc degree and its class, recommendations, motivation (explaining why the applicant wants to enrol in this programme.)The candidates will be ranked by the Admission Committee and the head of the programme will make the final acceptance/rejection decisions.
