Overview
This programme is recommended for those who can understand economic contexts and are capable of organizing, managing, and implementing the market activities of tourism enterprises. Students are proficient in professional and effective communication in both Hungarian and foreign languages, in writing and speaking. They are also prepared to continue their studies at the master's level.
The aim of the programme is to train economic professionals who speak foreign languages and are capable of fulfilling the tasks related to tourism and hospitality. Equipped with knowledge in economics, social theory, applied methodology, and their chosen specialization, students are able to carry out tasks in the tourism and hospitality sectors. They can manage and organize related work processes, identify and analyze demand-influencing factors, and create attractive and experience-rich offerings.

Programme Structure
The programme combines core economics subjects with courses focusing on tourism and hospitality. Students can choose from the following specializations: Tourism and Hotel Management, or Hospitality and Hotel Management. The integrated 12-week professional practice takes place in the 5th and 8th semesters, either at internal or external organizations.

Graduation Requirements:
To obtain the degree, students must earn 240 credits.
Professional Practice:
According to the curriculum, the professional practice must be completed over two semesters at an organization operating in the tourism or hospitality sectors, or at the university’s own training restaurant or training hotel. One of these semesters may be completed as part of an international practice-oriented partial training based on agreements between Hungarian and foreign higher education institutions.
The professional practice lasts for twelve weeks, totaling 480 hours in full-time programmes, and must be completed continuously.
Career Opportunities
Graduates have a wide range of career opportunities, supported by an internationally competitive degree. Employment opportunities include hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, event planning, regional organizations, municipalities, museums, and tourism marketing agencies. Students can establish connections with organizations on local, regional, and international levels even during their studies. Launching a private business is also a viable option, for example in rural tourism, marketing, or other tourism and hospitality sectors.
