A logistics engineer is involved in the development and implementation of solutions that support, for example, the internal operations of a manufacturing plant or a warehouse. He/she helps develop IT solutions (software, programs) that facilitate the daily logistics tasks of millions of companies and users. Without their help, it would be impossible to create supply chains that can often transport goods across continents or even to places that cannot be reached by truck. Their work will bring to life manufacturing plants, warehouses, transhipment points at major transport hubs (e.g. ports, container terminals), enable companies to see each other as partners in the value creation process, and suddenly the world around us will be a more orderly place
