It plans the public transport timetable, the public transport network of a city, determines which vehicles are economical and appropriate to operate, designs traffic light management systems, or even the traffic order at which intersections. But it can also deal with the development, operation and economics of transport. A transport engineer is able to organise and operate transport, freight and passenger transport processes, and to select, operate and maintain the means of these processes, including the infrastructure and the elements of the management and information system.

We try to keep to the overall approach to transport, so that all students will be familiar with road, rail, air and waterborne transport, but of course the specialisations that can be chosen from the fourth semester onwards will orient them towards a narrower field.
