The most important aim of the István Széchenyi Management and Organisation Sciences Doctoral School is the preparation of scientific and teaching staff for the future. The 4-year programme is divided into segments of 2+2 years. There is a comprehensive examination at the end of the fourth active semester, which is followed by two years of research and publication. Depending on the level of interest, our Doctoral School offers six programmes:
1. Business Economics and Management
2. Marketing, and Tourism
3. Finances
4. International Economy and Management
5. Relationships Between Socio-economic Inequalities
6. Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development
MA diploma, TOEFL or IELTS language exam, Attestation of Language Proficiency in case of English language former studies, thesis proposal, research proposal (former publications are welcome).
Language requirement:
B2, TOEFL iBT min. 66 points, IELTS min. 6.0
Entrance examination requirements:
The entrance exam happens in the frame of an online-interview with the participation of the AC. About the time, content and procedure of the entrance exam the coordinator informs the applicant with consideration of possible time-zone differences. During the exam the AC proves the language competence, the motivation, professional interest, and the presentation skills. Furthermore, the committee checks the applicant's language skills with a reading task.

All the required application documents will be proved by the faculty's coordinator on a check-list. If the applicant will be chosen for an interview, the coordinator sends the applicant's document to the members of the Admission Commitee (AC). The entrance exam happens in the frame of a skype-interview with the participation of the AC. About the time, content and procedure of the entrance exam the coordinator informs the applicant with consideration of possible time-zone differences. During the exam, the AC proves the language competence, the thesis, contant, current theme, diploms and publications of the applicant. The professional interest, presentation skills and ideas will also be proven. All these will be evaluated on a 100-point scale. After the exam, the applicant will be informed about the result.
