The aim of the programme is to train music experts who are able to meet the requirements of art dissemination in music in good taste and with creative decisiveness with their theoretical and practical proficiency, their knowledge about cultural and art institutional system. The music courses in the programme are based on the Kodály Concept. Students will acquire sufficient knowledge of Hungarian music life and will be able to perform choral vocal tasks in professional vocal choirs. Specialization: Choir Singer Specialization in choral singing is available with professional traineeship for 5 semesters. The place of the art traineeship is at the music workshop, Cantemus Mixed Choir, which has become world-famous following the principles of Zoltán Kodály's music education. The applicant is required to submit a MUSIC PORTFOLIO: I. Singing Skills (video mp4) 10 freely chosen polyphonic singing exercises or choral works in the form of a chamber song or with their own piano accompaniment (the applicant is responsible for bringing the chamber partner). A list of the works shall be sent to the selection board by the applicant. II. Piano (video mp4) Performing three different styles of work without a score (a minimum of 3-4 years of pre-study is required). Recommended: a Baroque, a Viennese Classical and a Bartók composition. A list of the works shall be sent to the selection board by the applicant. Musical background All applicants must attend on online oral interview with aptitude test (practical entrance exam in person or by using a video connection after submitting a music portfolio). The application procedure is based on an evaluation system of 100 points. Following the formal check up of the application documents, the university will organize the entrance examination with practice exam. The entrance exam is successful, if the applicant have at least 60 points.
