The aim of the degree program is to train professionals with knowledge and methods in the fields of health and social sciences capable of tackling both health and social related problems by performing professional, social and intersectoral cooperation. Graduates will become part of preventive activities, as well as activities targeting acute problems, and after-care. Competences – comprehensive professional knowledge through the integration of the characteristics of social work and health care, – revealing and analysing the individual and societal connection between health and social related problems, – creating and implementing developmental programs as well as independent supportive processes, – tackling complex health and social related problems, – developing and implementing social diagnosis and therapy, – determining individual and broader resources to make cooperation possible, – developing and applying social activities as part of rehabilitation, – performing team-work.

During the selection process we examine the competency of the applicant in two ways: The Faculty decides about the eligibility of the applicant by examining the documents of previous studies (level, subjects, results). This is followed by an entrance interview (online, if in-person not possible), where the level of English, motivation and communication skills of the applicant are assessed.
