Business Informatics is an integrative discipline that combines business administration with information technology and computer science enabling the graduates to provide efficient IT solutions to organisational issues and processes.
In line with this, it is a so-called interface discipline that is open to other disciplines. Graduates are able to understand the effects of information systems and to look into the ways how to optimise the design of application systems of digitized organisations on their road to full automatization. Specialists in Business Informatics can work both in research and in business, since they are capable of systems analysis and organisation, business and information systems engineering and (information) system development.
