Computer Science Engineering MSc students study, in addition to theoretical foundations in natural sciences, several programming languages and their applications in diverse environments. They also become acquainted with methods for designing complex software systems as well as the principles of artificial intelligence. Unlike other Computer Science Engineering programs, we put particular emphasis on sensory computing, hardware related issues, array-processing and preconfigurable architectures. Through the teaching of sensory applications, we open towards the world of info-bionics. Neuromorphic calculations, digital language technology, machine learning or image processing and image analysis are also very exciting and modern fields that can be studied and explored in our Faculty.

Specializations offered within the program:
- High Performance Computational Tools and Architecture (HPCT)
- Machine Learning for Data Science (MLDS)
- Software Engineering (SE)

The curriculum of the study program (120 credits) comprises the following main modules:
- Fundamentals in Natural Sciences and Mathematics (20-30 credits)
- Skills in Information Technology, including Specialization subjects (54-90 credits)
- Economics and Humanities (9-15 credits)
- Thesis Work (30 credits)
- Other elective subjects (max. 6 credits)

The actual MSc study program is preceded by a compulsory foundation semester (taking place in the fall semester) for international students.

1) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, Engineering Information Technology etc (with a diploma rate of over 75%). This should be proven by the degree awarded AND the transcript of all corresponding records. Applicants still doing their BSc should upload, in addition to their transcript, an official certificate of the EXPECTED date of graduation.

2) B2 level, internationally recognized English certificate according to CEFR (e.g. IELTS with total score of 6.0, TOEFL with a score of 90). Exemption: a) Bachelor's degree obtained in a full English language program, b) English as a mother tongue.
Entrance examination:Yes
Entrance type:both
Minimum level of language proficiency (oral):B2 (according to CEFR)
Minimum level of language proficiency (written):B2 (according to CEFR)
Place of examination:Online

If the application documents comply with the minimum entry requirements, the applicant is invited to take an online test. Subjects of the entrance exam:
- Physics and Electronics,
- Computer Science,
Mathematics.
The topics covered by the entrance exam are available on our website: https://itk.ppke.hu/en/admissions/masters-degree-programs/entrance-examination-topics. The test does not cover the totality of the topics listed, applicants may get short, simple questions in any of them.

Based on their test result, the best applicants will be invited to an oral online interview. The topics of the oral interview include: a short summary of the applicant's BSc thesis, brief introduction of the institution from where the applicant graduated, personal and professional motivation of the applicant for choosing the Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics and the respective study program, and possibly some questions about the selected field of study.

The Admission Committee sets the final score and admission result based on the application material, the online test and the personal interview.
International students are admitted to a compulsory foundation semester leading to their chosen Master's program. The foundation semester (taking place in the fall semester) consists of four three-week-long modules, each module comprising several subjects.
