The Computer Science Engineering program at the Master level is developed to provide solid knowledge and understanding about the specificities, methodologies, applications, and advanced practice of computer sciences and today’s information technology. The course is designed by taking into account two perspectives: to provide the necessary theoretical background for the students by providing those specificities and experiences at the same time, which prepare them for problem solving and future challenges, and focusing on the industry-related advanced practice of the field to provide up-to-date knowledge about the most widely used technologies, which can be used immediately on the market after graduation. Two major specialities are offered for the students: Robotics specialization and Biomedical engineering specialization. These specializations are two of the most important and rapidly improving fields of today’s computer science. Each specialization contains at least six courses focusing on the core knowledge of the field of interest completed with laboratories. During the theoretical and laboratory courses the most up-to-date devices and equipments are applied in order to prepare our students for the challenges of the industry. The aim of the course is to qualify engineers who, having acquired the necessary high-level scientific and specific IT-related technological skills, are competent to design new IT systems and tools, to develop and integrate IT systems, to conduct and coordinate IT-purpose research and development tasks, as well as are capable of pursuing their knowledge in the frame of PhD studies.
