The Institute of History offers a four-semester master degree programme in International Relations with a focus on the relationship between global, regional and national ideas and policies of the world. The Program discusses the fundamental theoretical and practical issues in international politics and diplomacy, it provides students with in- depth, contextual and interdisciplinary knowledge of these issues. Two academic specialization are available in English: Transitology (if you are interested in studying about the political, economic and social transitions /regime changes/ happened in South Europe, in Latin-America, or in Central and Eastern Europe). European Studies: Equal Opportunities in Europe (an academic specialization for the students who are interested in the historical and contemporary social and cultural processes of Europe as well as the issue of equal chances).

The admission procedure consits of the following parts:
- 20-30 minutes long online interview
- evaluation of application documents
Online interview: The international office will contact all applicants to set up a suitable time for the online interview. Applicants will be interviewed by appointed staff members from the Department and the international office. Professors will check the applicant’s preliminary knowledge of the chosen study area and motivation. The international office will check the language skills and intercultural competences of the applicant.
The admission decision is based on the following results:
- result of previous studies (max. 20 points)
- CV, motivation letter (max. 20 points)
- online interview (max. 60 points)
Minimum admission requirements: 60 points. Those applicants who gain less than 5 points in any section of the admission procedure will be rejected.
