Due to its profile, the Doctoral School fills a special gap, since this is the first doctoral programme in Hungary whose training and research curriculum focuses on business and management related issues of small and medium-sized enterprises and family businesses. The Doctoral School offers an educational and training programme following the best traditions of scientific research: from this approach all those interested in academic carriers, those involved in everyday business practice, and even those having MBA degrees will benefit.

The Admission Committee examines the candidate’s learning outcomes and language skills. A good command of English (B2 level) is a must to admission. The entrance examination consists of the consideration and the evaluation of the submitted documents and the oral exam. (1) Documents: Applicants are requested to submit the following documents: - Detailed Curriculum Vitae, - Motivation letter, - Letters of recommendation or reference, - Copies of BA and MA or other diplomas, - The MA thesis or any other publications, reports, papers written by the applicant in English, - Research/thesis proposal. (2) Oral exam (in-person or online interview) – The oral exam checks At the oral examination, the Admission Committee checks the candidate’s motivation and suitability for research, the relevance of the research topic, the feasibility of the research plan and the commitment of the candidate to research. The selection of candidates is based on the ranking of the admission results. Applications are accepted from countries of the whole world.
